With all that occurred in the finale and the last season, it is hard to wrap your brain around every little detail. This entry covers the past, Present and future events of the show. In a detailed character breakdown, Synopses of recent events, and speculative mythology, as well as the debunking of bad theories with more concrete ones.
The forces of LOST
Just to make things clear. The will of man versus the will of the universe has been shown specifically through DHARMA and the Valinzetti equations prediction of human extermination. While it has also been shown throughout the series in the rivalry between Jack and Locke as battle between Man of Science and Man of Faith.
In the text below I will refer to these two forces as the self explanatory Will of mankind or Science as well as the more ambiguous Universe. Therefor to make things easier unless specifically named in reference to a particular ideology or mechanic of the show; The Universe is represented as: The Island, possibly Jacob, and all forms of Religion, Gods, Mysticism, Magic, Fate, or Supernatural forces.
What happened & What is Next?
-The Oceanic six all got off the island. Now three years later Each one has taken on new roles that they would never have predicted.
-Ben is banished from the island via teleporting and time traveling frozen wheel.
-The island is moved, in space but through time? That we will have to wait and see.
-Locke has returned to the real world due to bad events that have taken place thanks to the actions of Jack getting the oceanic six off the island.
-After pleading with the oceanic six Locke is found dead, in what is an apparent suicide. Although we do now know what the circumstances are yet.
-There are 3 missing years outside of the island for our Oceanic six, Desmond, Frank and Penelope to catch up on, Ben returned in Late October 10 months later, so we have two years of information to catch up with him. Meanwhile we don't know where or when the island is, or when Locke got back. So there are a lot of questions posed by the finale.
-Also for those wondering the exact date at the end of Something nice Back home, we should assume it is at least 2008. Since the constant happened on Christmas Eve, I would wager one weeks time past since then, which would put their rescue in at least Jan 1st 2005, and they have been off the island for 3 years, making it winter 2008. Although it doesn't seem like wintertime, so I would wager they brought us a few months in to around May 2008 and caught us up to Our present time, and will make next season present time with flashback to the last 3 years.
-I am still going to assume it is around spring time, and the writers brought the present day of the show to our present day. Although if it is exactly 3 years since the day they got rescued, it would make it Jan 7th 2008. Thanks to LOSTPedia for their day of rescue. Either way this is just to give the date/time of off island experiences a place on the calender to work from.
-We should expect to see three years of flashbacks during the next season, in what must be a fast pace to catch up in time for the final season.
-With the scientists and Ghost whisperer now on the island, we should expect to learn a lot more about the natives, the island, DHARMA and even the smoke monster.
Below is a Detailed Character breakdown which defines what happened and what is next for each and everyones own storyline. This makes for a much easier to read, and simple way to understand all of the multiple plots going on, and from each different standpoint.
The future of our characters.
With 3 years to catch up on, other than the Oceanic Six we don't know who has made it to the season 4 finale flash forward alive. Not to mention the time which will take place after those events. This is an analysis of each character based on their story so far to speculate where they are headed solely based on both events that have taken place and the style of writing on the show.
Oceanic Six
Jack Shephard
-Since day one it has been obvious that Jack is going to play an important role in the show.
-He is well connected to the island via his father Christian who is now aligned Claire as well
-In missing pieces episode 13, Jacks father tells Vincent to wake him up because he has work to do. Christian refers to Jack as his son which supports the connection instead of his father being a mere vessel.
-'Having work to do' An ominous line which sets a character on the path which universe intended.
-Jack had yet to accept his role in the universe and would not embrace his destiny.
-His once rival John Locke tried to open his eyes to the truth and idea of fate, not even the the disappearance of an entire island could get him to believe.
-Ultimately though, it turns out to be Jacks guilt over the loss of lives, and troubling post island events, most important Locke's death which gets him to accept that there is a bigger picture and he needs to now go back.
-Jacks will go under a paradigm shift to the hero and leader he was meant to be. A man with nothing to lose, and the weight of the world on his shoulders. He will become a man of both science and faith and lead the Oceanic 6 back to the island to accept their destiny and save himself and the others. This will ultimately be Locke's legacy, as the island does not let you die until your work is finished, and getting Jacks polarizing attitude to change toward and open one is going to be important to the island and it's inhabitants future.
Kate Austen
-Now living in LA with her 'adoption through survival' son Arron she is free of past crimes.
-Kate knows she can not leave the state, let alone try and
find a mysterious island without facing consequences.
-This is going to be her biggest test, after finally being able to stop running all she has to do is live out her next (7-10 years? based on when the trial took place) in LA and she is free.
-Kate's previous life was a selfish one in which she murdered one man, and caused the accidental death of someone she loved. Each was due to her own selfish needs, and for anyone who can not remember she did kill her father because she found out he was her daughter, not because of the way he treated her mother.
-Kate will have to accept her fate and do the unselfish thing and return to the island, giving up her freedom if she were to ever be caught or return home.
-She also has to accept responsibility for Arron while remembering he is not her son, and that his true mother is on the island.
-Finally, we have yet to see what it is she is doing for sawyer. Although the obvious points to meeting with Cassidy Phillips and Sawyers daughter Clementine to make sure they are taken care of.
Sayid Jarrah
-As we saw in late October 2005 approximately 10 months after their rescue his wife Nadia is killed. Ben meets Sayid in Iraq and manipulates him into working for him, by telling him 'who' killed his wife.
-In the economist, we see Sayid working for Ben taking out one partner of Widmores after another, to both avenge the death of Nadia and protect his friends on and off the island.
-In Something nice back home he has been keeping tabs on Hurely since around the time of Lockes death. He kills a man who has also been watching Hurley and takes him to a 'safe' place. I expect them to be meeting Ben their, now possibly with Jack.
-Sayid mention a safe place but also tells Hurely they aren't going back. So as it stands there is nothing pointing towards him wanting to go back.
-Sayid also may come face to face with troubling decisions. Penelope widmore saved him and is the love of his friend Desmond who also helped during their escape. Although Penelope is the one person Ben wants dead, therefore Sayid may come to blows against Desmond, or Penelope.
-Finally there is another enemy he may not expect in Sun, who is going to partner up with Charles widmore. So Sayid will face troubling new obstacles while he tries to protect the people he cares about and avenge his lost love. Could sun possibly be the mysterious economist? Pay rolling some of Widmores plans an enemy without a face to Ben and Sayid until an uncovered truth?
Sun-Hwa Kwon
-Mourning the loss of Jin she becomes not only bitter but vengeful.
-Sun is going to first have to see where her actions take her, but the road she is on is not the right one. Jin would not have wanted this and her actions will have consequences.
-Whatever her plans are, she will have to not only live with the actions she takes, but most likely find a way to redeem herself for taking them.
-After taking over Paik Automotive, she also met with Charles Widmore. A sinister man who caused the death of her husband and other survivors. Her emotions blind her to the truth, and she blames Jack for what happened to Jin.
-She is going down a very dark path, which may lead to helping Charles Widmore find the island.
-In the economist Sayid is trying to find the identity of one of the men working with and helping to support Widmore plans. After seeing her Hostile takeover of Paik industries and aggressive confidence with Charles Widmore, I suspect (she may even be the economist or one of them. Just because they shroud the economist's identity and mention the economist is a he, that doesn't mean it is true. It is a plausible theory, though most likely not the truth.)
Possible future scenario for Sun
-The worst thing sun can do to the flight 815 survivors as well as Jack and Ben would be to not only help Charles Widmore, but to lie and work for him as a spy, like Micheal did for Ben. So that he can find the island once they do.
-This possible future scenario fits best if we are to assume Jin is alive. Since she would then realize her mistakes and have to try and redeem herself.
-(Assuming Jin is somehow alive on island) He would not only be mad at sun for her betrayal of Jack, since he got her and the baby off the island, he would make her see how wrong she was to help the person really responsible for all of the bad things which happened, instead of blaming Jack, she would realize the man she has been working for is the one she should have been trying to take out her revenge on.
Hugo 'Hurley' Reyes
-After finally ridding himself of worldly possessions and returning to the Santa Rosa mental Institution, Hurley's fate would become clear. He has to go back.
-It seems Hurley, was the first one to come to this revelation, which is why it is most confusing that in the finalize, He was relieved when he asked Sayid if they were going back. For someone who has been given a clear cut definitive answer, he sure seems hesitant to do what needs to be done.
-Hurley is a messenger, a link between all of the Oceanic six, probably the only one who each is still friendly with. Which is why the island is reaching out to him the strongest. It was important when we learned that Charlie told Jack someone was coming to see him, it was proof of his sanity, and the Islands off island reach.
-Next season Hurley is going to have to deal with the idea of going back, he is the link that can bring the rest of the group together. Although After losing Libby, Charlie, Eko and many others, he is very reluctant to go back. Even with a visit from Walt.
Aaron Littleton
-Although he has only been a toddler up until now, Arron has been instilled in the Mythology of LOST before he was even born. His mother was told not to let anyone else raise the child. The child is in danger. This psychic told her that her only other option, after months of begging her to raise the child, was to meet a couple in LA who would take care of the baby. Unfortunately, it seems he know that the plane would crash forcing her to take responsibility for the child.
-It seems the island is not to happy about the birth of a child. Since taking his mother from him, although her fate is still very ambiguous. It seems that Arron may be a threat to the island if he were to stay, especially being connected to the now family residing in Jacobs cabin.
-It's actually interesting. in season one we saw claire being told that the couple in LA would take care of her child. Then we were lead to believe that this was a trick to get her on the Oceanic 815. It turns out that in the future, a nice couple, Jack and Kate whom she would like and know as nice people would raise her child. Odd is seems how Jack turns out to not only be her half brother, but also a part of the mysterious predicted couple.
-Was she sent their to crash and raise the child herself, or was she sent their so Arron would end up in the care of Jack and Kate, that seems to be the case now. The question is does Arron need to return to the island? If so, why would he be let go in the first place? As a gear to help make Jacks guilt unbearable and turn him into the believer he is becoming? An important cog it seems in the sequence of events to come, Arron may never play a role larger than a small child, but the possibilities and threats that children seem to pose on the island may be too great if they also share a bloodline to Jacobs cabin.
Continuity!!!!
Uh-oh. Small nitpicking here, but weren't Claire and Arron supposed to get on that helicopter. Even if he now returns and they later leave the island on a helicopter in season 6, like Desmond said, wouldn't he be noticeably larger. Between 3-4 at the very least. If so was Desmond's vision only of a woman holding Arron getting into the chopper. if so was this what Desmond saw with Kate during their escape? I hope the producers let us know one way or another.
Off Island
Benjamin Linus
-So it seems Ben has teleported about 10 months into the future to Tunisia.
-Under an alias, Ben goes to a hotel and is a preferred visitor. Mr. Moriarty. In his room, I suspect he found a slew of information, folders pictures on everything. The question is if this information has been brought to him by his off island and on island contacts.
-We do not know if he has had any contact with anyone on island yet, although this will be made clear next season i am sure. His off island contacts brought him a valuable piece of information, the man who killed Sayids wife Nadia.
-Was Nadia killed by Charles Widmores men, or did Ben actually lie and have his people do it? This is very possible after seeing the sinister look on Bens face after manipulating Sayid to work for him.
-Ever since season two I have felt Ben is one of the good guys, as he told us. Although I feel like ever since his blatant disregard for innocent lives causing the death of everyone on the freighter he no longer cares what happens to anyone else.
-Ben has not only been sent down a somewhat seemingly riotous path to the Crash survivors buy 'helping' them, but he also seems much darker than before.
-When Charles "Changed the rules" he killed an innocent person who was not involved in their war. This changed everything for Ben and was the factor in his psychopathic murder of Keamy where he lashed out with a knife and put the blood of many innocent people on his hands.
-Bens role on the island has been an important one. His mother died at birth and upon arriving he saw her on the island. The natives seemed to recognize this special ability and take him under their wing, although they had to wait it seems for him to be older, or ready to join them.
-One thing about Bens past is not yet clarified, what happened to Annie? Well after two seasons of Ben's obsession over his stolen daughter and fertility problems it has been made quite clear.
-Annie died before the purge, not during not after. Due to nothing less than an on island pregnancy. This makes the most sense story wise for many reasons, not only would it be the decisive factor in making him turn on DHARMA, but it also explains his obsession with fertility and his adopter daughter Alex. Since the purge happened after the arrival of Danielle (about 4-6 years earlier) Annie would have to be dead for Ben to have the need to adopt and steal Alex.
-If Alex has been on the island for 16 years, then there is a lot of back story with Rousseau which needs to be cleared up, but either way the purge did not happen until after her arrival, which would mean that the natives captured Alex from her and held her until Ben could raise her.
-Annie is NOT Charlotte, she is not Penelope, she is not Juliette or anyone else. In fact, Annie bears no resemblance to any single on of these people. Her death is going to be the obvious reason for Bens fallen path which he is now going to try and redeem himself from, even if it means the death of other innocent people.
-Also as for the person whom Juliette looks just like, I thought it was quite obvious from the start that the woman they reference is Bens mother. He had pictures of her and was the person he saw on the island. Unless they show us an older annie with a dye job this has to be the only accepted possibility. Especially since Juliette and his mother do have similarities.
-0Lets not forget that the idea of Ben losing a loved one in the same manner he lost his mother would not only turn a person to do twisted things, but it would also make sense from a plot point.
Walt Lloyd
-There are some unanswered things with Walts story. With the show picking up in what is most likely 288 having him be 14 allows the character to finally return. His growth is not only explainable but makes sense actually.
-Does Walt want to return to the island?
-Will he have to return with the oceanic six for them to go back?
-What will happen when Walt find out that his father is dead. He didn't want to talk to him when he was off the island, but now he seems rather concerned when he didn't return home.
-Locke visited Walt, and didn't tell him his father died, this seems to me like he is trying to get Walt to go back. With someone so in tune with the island and other paranormal events even off the island, it appears Walt has a lot of work to do in the next season and should be returning to the show with a more important role since he isn't the same small child.
Mathew Abaddon
-Although he may appear to be an important key to the show not only is he not Walt but Abaddon is not even upper tier. He's a lower level employee (Confirmed by the producers.) of either Charles Widmore or another force altogether, involved with the likes of Mrs hawking, whom we have yet seen connected to any specific side.
-For anyone still holding onto the belief of Walt being this character just remember that Locke already went on a walk about, and never told Walt about it. Why then would they wast valuable resources going back in time, to try and change the future which Faraday already said is impossible. If Locke would find himself on a walkabout, they why go back and tell him to?
-This not only means he is not Walt, but is simply a smaller player in the show whom has been sent to deliver messages to the Ocean 815 passengers throughout their life.
-The most important thing we have seen from Abaddon is that he not only knows that the people are still living on the island, but that he wanted Locke to become a leader with a knife, the opposite of what Richard Alpert and the others wanted from john Locke. Alluding to him working for Widmore, and the opposition.
-I expect to see more of him, but in smaller roles still, especially since he has been cast with a much bigger role on JJ Abrams new show Fringe.
Charles Widmore
-Charles widmore. A man of knowledge and power, connected to seemingly everything.
-It has become clear that widmore was not only involved in DHAMRA, but could have been a large supplier and member of the organization. It seems that he has been trying to find the island though, which is odd for someone who seems to play such a large role in what has happened so far.
-His relationship with his daughter and will become complex although he still wants to protect her. It is also very unclear as to how he will now treat Desmond, it could have been speculated by now that widmore purposefully treated Desmond like such scum so he would land on the island giving widmore the coordinates he needs by turning the failsafe key.
-The reason this is also possible is that during the constant instead of his usually mannerisms he gave Desmond Penelope's address, which otherwise would have killed him. So unless widmore needs Desmond for another yet to be seen reason, then it seems he has made the choice to let him live.
-There are many possible theories as to Widmore once being on the island and even being the one to previously move it. Is that how Ben took everything from him? Did he move it and find himself unable to return, or did someone else move the island after the purge? Would this also be why Ben can not kill him, or does Ben know that he can not die, because he has work to do still? These and many more questions still remain to be very unclear. Next season should shed more light on his character though.
Frank Lapidus
-From what I hear, we won't be seeing much if any of Frank next season. This makes sense, since his role was that of a heroic pilot. It can be assumed that the only part frank has left to play would be in the return of the the Oceanic six, Ben Walt and whomever else must return. I would not be surprised to see him during a season 5 finale or season 6 premiere.
Desmond David Hume
-The time traveling, psychic can finally get a much deserved rest and live out the next ten months with Penelope.
-Although it remains to be seen if Charles widmore allows this, I expect that to be the situation. Unfortunately, I also expect Desmond to die before the series is over. He is now going to have to worry about both Sayid and Ben whom want revenge on Charles Widmore and to protect their friends.
-Penelope seems to be in hiding, so it would also be safe to assume he is with her for protection, because no one other than Widmore himself would put his life on the line as far as he has for her.
-Remember the book Our Mutual Friend, well it seems such an important plot device wouldn't be forgotten and discarded would it?
-Well ever since the season two finalize, we have yet to hear about or see that book, so it is entirely possible. In season two he states that it will be the last book he reads before he dies. Similar to the fact that it was Dickens last novel. Unfortunately, as pointed out to Desmond, this only works if you know when you are going to die. The producers can simply write this plot line off with the symbolism of having the failsafe key in the book, which he finally turns to during the season 2 finale. Showing he he isn't waiting anymore and is going to just accept and live life as it comes. Similar to the symbolic oar hitting Desmond in the head which started the flashes when he returned to the island in Flashes before your eyes, and ended them in Through the Looking Glass.
Penelope Widmore
-After spending 3 years searching she has re-united with her beloved.
-She also must have found out that her father knew or knows the location of the island, even if this knowledge came after the events on the island. Since Desmond would have told her about her fathers boat.
-She is now in hiding, and most likely with Desmond, being kept safe from Ben and most likely his hit man Sayid.
-There is going to have to be a relationship conflict between her and her father, since he knew about Desmond and played a part in his arrival on the island, as well as the death of innocent people. Although she will also have to listen to him, since he wants to protect her from Ben.
On Island
James 'Sawyer' Ford
-After whispering a secret request and saying goodbye to Kate we find sawyer swim to shore, only to meet Juliette drinking her sorrow away over the exploding freighter.
-Sawyer along with Juliette are going to be playing important roles in the lives of the rest of the castaways during the next few years before the return of the oceanic six.
-Although sawyers story is fairly done as of right now, the only end to truly speculate on is going to be his request of Kate. Although with his past, it is most likely that he wanted to make sure Cassidy and his child are taken care of.
-It will be interesting to see sawyer take over as a leader which we saw a preview of during season three when the rest of the A Team Had gone for Jack.
-Next season expect a slew of new lines from sawyer as well as a heroic leading position in the camp.
Juliette Burke
-One of the most compelling and interesting female roles on the show. She is going to also have to learn to confide in the rest of the survivors.
-She will also be playing a large role in the island as she is the link between the others and the beach campers.
-Miles and Charlotte, as well as Daniel (pending his location) will have a lot of questions for Juliette.
-She also still has a story to complete, and will now have waited up to 6 years to get home to her sister and nephew.
-Similar to sawyer, expect to see a new side of Juliette, I wouldn't be surprised if she tries to bring the two groups together or work with one another. Her future is also quite unclear as of now.
Rose & Bernard
-I expect us to see a little more of them than we did in past seasons. Similar to season 4, we should see them more often during island scenes. Their future will be of an island dwelling couple who is keeping an eye on things, so they can live out their lives in happiness.
Richard Alpert & The Others
-As the never aging immortal Richard there are a lot of unanswered questions.
-We know he has been seeking Locke since his birth, but why? The other problem is was Locke every going to be ready for what it was Richard the the other natives intended?
-During Lockes test Richard gets upset due to his choice of the knife, if Locke is not ready still, would the absence of Jack and the oceanic six unbalance the island, and allow Locke to run rampant.
-Is Richard actually on the side of good? If bad things are happening then does he and the others have to do with them?
-If Richard has been alive for such a long time, then why wouldn't he be able to see and commune with Jacob? Why would they put their trust in outsiders?
-Finally are Richards people the ones who built the four toed statue and do they know what the smoke monster is?
-Next season I expect some clear answers on what and who these people are, as well as the DHARMA initiative.
Miles Straume
-Our very own local Ghost buster. It seems that not only can miles talk to ghosts, but he can also read people. Like when he told Micheal his name wasn't Kevin. He should play an extremely important role on the island.
-He reminds me very much of Walt. Except in tune with his gifts, he can seemingly tell when things are going to be bad or dangerous, he can communicate with the dead, and can read people. We have yet to see Walt commune with the dead, but he has reached out to communicate to the living.
-With all of the ghosts of DHARMA, the 815ers, The others and the other worldly forces like the whispers and Jacob, miles has an eye into the island that no one else can even fathom right now.
-It is very possible that some of the bad things which take place on the island are in part due to him and his communion with the island and supernatural beings.
Charlotte Staples Lewis
-Not only is she a geologist and a great one at that. She seems to know a lot about the island and DHARMA. Which not many people on the island even know too much of.
- In the finale, miles brings to our attention that she has been looking for where she is born. Does this mean she was actually born on the island? Was she conceived here, or did her parents come here pregnant?
-Many people have been considering that Ben and Annie are the parents of her, although not only does this seem improbable, but it would be a result of awful writing.
-Ben obviously has issues because of infertility which not only dates back to the death of his mother, but most likely his wife/love Annie. Which we have yet to see, but due to the events that have unfolded on the island it makes the most sense.
-Not only that but there is no way she can be Annie, because Ben wouldn't forget her, nor would she him or the island. Also Ben states the names of her parents and her past history, I think a man like Ben would know of his own daughters whereabouts.
-A more interesting theory would be if she were the child of either the Degroots or past DHARMA employees. These not only make the most sense, but also can give us a window inside the past events of DHARMA. Expect more on her story next season.
John Locke
-As we know in 3 years time John Locke will not only leave the island but also die. Yes that's right he will die. Now interestingly enough, we know that unless you do whatever your path requires of you in life, the reality in which LOST takes place will not let you die, well the island won't anyway. So we have to assume that Locke has finished his work.
-From day one we have seen John Locke as a man of spirituality and Faith in the island. he was given an incredible gift, the ability to walk, this in turn allowed him to put his life in the islands hands.
-He has had a different view on the island than Jack from the start, the whole show has had this theme of Man of Science vs Man of faith. Now this is also LOST, therefor everything you know can change in an instant. So instead of Locke becoming the chosen one and being a reborn character I believe Locke's path was more akin to Obi wan Kenobi than Neo or Jesus.
-many people have interpreted his death and a need for his body to return to the island as a rebirth. I won't say it is impossible that Locke may walk again once on the island, but I do not think he will be alive. He may be a form of spiritual guide for Jack similar to Christian Shephard, and become one with the island.
-His story is done, there are just three missing years left to fill in for season 5. Locke will not be coming back to life, because as I said, he is not the chosen one. His work on the island was to liberate the stranglehold that pieces of DHARMA and Ben still had on it. Although his ultimate legacy will be in finally setting Jack on the right path to believe in the island.
-Since day one he has been trying to guide Jack, not fight against him, there are so many supporting instances of this the most obvious is when Locke says "You do believe in fate, you just don't know it yet." Although they have been pitted as rivals, this was never the case and it is never more clear than now.
-Since Ben let Jack and the others escape, the island turned to turmoil. Possibly due to the Members of the freighter Miles, Daniel, and Charlotte but it is most likely due to Lockes own inability to determine his own destiny.
-He was supposed to help Jack and the others with their place on the island, and without Jack to balance him out, without Jack on the island things turned bad.
-There are a multitude of possibilities as to what went wrong on the island, but the fact is John is off of it. Did he use the orchid due to the problems on the island? Did he choose to leave to bring back Jack and the others? Did he kill himself due to an inability to walk once off the island?
-These questions should all be answered next season, I fully do not ever expect to see Locke rise from the dead. it makes no sense story wise, nor in the reality of the world of LOST. he may rise in the same way Christian Shephard has but that would be the extent of it.
Jacob/Christian Shephard
-Nothing has been less clear, it seems the more we know the less it adds up. Jacob seems to wield the power to keep someone alive until their path in the univerese in complete. As proven by Christian Shephard appearance to Micheal letting him die.
-Jacob has the power to heal people both on and off the island.
-He can manifest himself in the image of the dead, or literally uses their bodies as vessels.
-It is a little unclear, as Christian Shephard refers to himself as Christian, and Jack as his son. Therefore, it is possibly Jacob is allowing these spirits to resume control of their bodies, and images to help do his work. Since Jacob wouldn't used familiarities like these.
-We saw an image of Jacob once who asked Locke to help him. Why? Was it because of the people coming to the island or is their another reason? What is that material around Jacobs cabin? Is it restraining him?
-Is it possible Jacob is no longer in control? Could Christian Shephard and another supernatural force have take over. In white rabbit, Locke asks Jack if what he was seeing was really their. Jack responds than we are all in a lot of trouble. What if another force has taken over, and is speaking in place of Jacob, which is the cause of the troubling events that unfold on the island.
-Also pertaining to the idea, Christian is in fact who he says he is, and truly is speaking for Jacob, not just as a vessel, this would explain why his body looks lived in as well as his clothes. Since his clothing looks more dirty, and he has lost his jacket (not sure about the tie, I think so though.)
-If Christian is speaking for Jacob, and has possessed Claire in a sense how did this happen? Is she dead? Alive? Why would they want the baby to leave, but the survivors need to return?
-If Jacob has these powers, and the Natives listen and worship him to an extent, than why cant they see him, how come an outsider can?
-Why did DHARMA have a map and build his cabin? Seems conflicting if the Natives and Others would be listening to him.
-Jacob and Christian Shephard have a lot of conflicting patterns which need to be resolved a little bit before season 6 so we can make more sense of the forces at play in the show. I expect to see more of them both in season 5.
Vincent
-A simple and yet complex role is filled by the dog Vincent. On one side we have an animal, which obviously has no lines and no personal agenda. All the while the same dog has been the bait for viewers and the survivors for future events.
-The first thing although slightly insignificant was the awakening of jack, Vincent sort of snapped him into reality on september 22nd. Looking back this minor event seems to have no real bearings on whether or not jack would have saved those people, then again it can be argued that if it were not for the odd appearance of the dog before jack, he may have not become aware of his surroundings or the events which just took place as quickly thusly causing the possible deaths of other survivors.
-This fact can be backed-up by the LOST mobisode episode number 13 where Christian Shephard is seen from a dogs eye view only moments before the opening scene to LOST, where he sends Vincent to go wake his son up. Leaving us with two themes, that either this had to happen so jack could snap out of it and save those people, or the dog was merely used as a piece of bait for us the viewer and not jack, to shock and surprise us with the new role of jacks deceased father.
-In a similar fashion, Vincent then went on to introduce us to another quirk of our now familiar cast. During season one the mysteriousness surrounding John Locke was only exemplified when he fashioned a dog whistle out of wood and brought back our beloved canine. Without Vincent Locke never would have been introduced to us doing such a minor yet odd thing, as well as first getting to meet Vincent and start their twisted fated bond of being special.
-The next and by far most major event until season three is the death of Shannon. Although this could be attributed to the appearance of Walt, it truly was Vincent who Shannon followed until her untimely accidental murder by the ironically justified murdered Ana Lucia. Without Vincent's lead Shannon may never have gotten to that point at that time and she may very well be alive today, changing sayid's attitude towards the others and Ana. Without his enraged outlook on life sayid could have trusted our newly introduced Henry Gale whom we now all know and love as Ben and not checked the grave. Also changing the course of island events as we know them.
-During season 3 Vincent brings charlie and Hurley a corpse arm holding a car key. After the powerful episode before it, the castaways need a light hearted break, if it were not for vincent, charlie would not have gotten out of his depressed state of mind, nor would hurley have gotten his hope back. More importantly, the others at the beach wouldn't' have been run over by hurley, causing the great distraction for sawyer and sayid to step in saving them. Once again changing the course of island events for all time.
-In season 4 Vincent finds Doc Rays dead body floating in the water and barks until Barnard notices. If in fact Bernard or someone else noticed, he wouldn't have been at the discussion of Morse code, which means jack wouldn't have gotten him to decipher exactly what it was they said. not only that, but we as well as the islanders wouldn't have been introduced to the perplex island time scheme which allowed doc to both exist in two separate locations. Without this event, we wouldn't have had the survivors on notice about their new friends, as well as the the new perceptions and reality of how time works.
-There have been other smaller and similar instances of vincent leading us to a new character or event, or bringing one of our castaways into the jungle to set them up for future events, although these have been the most significant.
-The real question is are these all by chance, is vincent truly a manifestation of the smoke monster, come to life now after the plane crash to spy on the castaways and bend them to his/it's will. Is this all just a factor of course correction, the universe using vincent as a catalyst to keep the survivors and viewers in line with the events to come. Either way it is clear although small vincent plays a much larger role on the island than it may appear.
Ambiguous
Claire Littleton
-As mentioned during Arrons breakdown, Claires future, has come to fruition. Her baby was raised by her because of the crash, and then raised by a couple in LA. They are nice people.
-Now according to E! Online she won't be returning next season, i wouldn't be surprised if we get her in the finale for her return in season 6, but it makes sense. her story is a little convoluted right now. It's hard to tell if shes dead, alive or lost somewhere in between.
-She is now with her dad, the odd thing is that she was brought there in her normal self, she woke up confused to see her father, but then walked off and is now in a creepy state in Jacobs elusive cabin.
-Not only that but she let her baby go, because as Christian said, the baby doesn't belong here. Adding to this is the dream Kate had where Claire reached out to her. So for one reason or another the island doesn't want Arron to return.
-As for Claire being dead I only see one real possibility, and it can be an easy one for the writers if they have problems with the actress. Unlike all of the other theories of Claire having died in the attack on the camp this one allows for her death to come later on, but allows her to have survived those events.
-If Claire we badly injured enough during the attack, there's a good chance she could have been bleeding internally, which is why Christian came to her, she could have been nearing death and
so he brought her to his cabin and left the child behind to be taken care of. This allows for the show to make sense, since we saw Claire acting just like she would if she were alive until the cabin. It also lays some speculation on the line where miles said Not yet anyways about being not dead, and why he was starring at her. He could have knows she was dying and said nothing. This seems like the most plausible explanation if she is now dead.
Jin Kwon
-There are 3 possibilities in Jins future. One the most expected makes the least sense. Jin is either alive on the island, Dead or was found by someone else, outside of the island and is living life in hiding so he doesn't ruin the Oceanic six's story.
-Is Jin dead or alive? If Jin is alive on the island then the writers sure have some explaining to do. For instance, how did he survive the explosion? He couldn't have swam to the island in time, nor could he have gotten very far after an explosion like that. So how come he was teleported with the island and not the chopper? Was it because the chopper was in the air? He was still fairly far away.
-Most troubling is the knowledge of Locke. if sun has spent the last three years blaming the one person who got her saved and is now trying to help the man who may have killed her husband, wouldn't Locke have relayed the information to her that Jin is still alive on the island.
-After the explosion at the freighter, I would find it hard to believe, Locke never met with the people at the beach to see what happened and who is alive. Nor is it possible that they never had a single confrontation during the time he spent their.
-Knowing this it is also very hard to believe that with the troubling events Locke told Jack about, the fate of their friends never once came up. Therefore I propose Jin must be dead. If Jin did somehow survive and make it to the island, then he must have died during the three year span between the freighter events and the end of Something Nice Back home. otherwise word would have spread to sun that her beloved is alive. This is a very big problem which must be resolved.
-Knowing all of this, and mirroring the events of Two for the road where Libby was killed to add emotional impact, the death of Jin during Something nice Back Home would be a similar situation and add up since Micheal's death only satisfied a blood lust and redemptive storyline. Meanwhile Jins death added a lot of emotional impact.
-If Jin is alive on the island, the writers better have some clever ideas to sell that, otherwise, he must and should be dead. Unless of course Jin is outside of the island and living in hiding, possibly even working for Ben, as a part of his idea to get the rest of the oceanic six to return to the island.
Daniel Faraday & 815 Survivors
-Similar to Jin these people may not have been brought back to the island, although I would find it much easier to believe that they were brought with the island to it's new location. Especially since he was much closer to the island than Jin was, and in a bot traveling faster. The explanation could include that they were in a boat, not in the air. Otherwise it would be odd if Penelope's boat or the raft from the chopper never saw Daniel and the other survivors.
-Now assuming he is back on the island, he has the most interesting story of all.
-He somehow knows about a lot of these different stations, yet he also has a bad memory. There was also a page about Desmond being his constant.
-I have 3 theories as to what may be going on.
-The radiation from his experiments in the constant caused massive memory loss and this is why he can't remember things.
-He has a brain tumor, and the island is fixing his memory as he heals, which is why he didn't wear anything on his head during his experiments during the constant.
-He has also traveled to the future like Desmond has, and that's how he wrote down all the information about the stations and the island and Desmond. Although after his Consciousness fixed itself (possibly due to Desmond being his constant?) he forgot everything from future events, and has information in his books to help him.
-There are a lot of questions about Faraday, and with his interest in Charlotte a new love story is brewing, it may not be the sexiest one, but it's something new.
-Look forward to seeing Daniel play a big role and possibly have a great flashback or flash forward episode. I suspect he has a lot to show us.
Unfinished business
Danielle Rousseau
-Although the actress asked to be off the show, it is understandable. Since she has little screen time, and she shows up in many episodes, so she would have to stay in Hawaii for a while to shoot small scenes.
-This does not mean she won't be back. I suspect we will find out in a flashback what happened to her. I believe the producers said we will still find out, even though she is dead. I am sure they cam give us an Others, DHARMA, or Ben flashback to fill in the gap.
Continuity Issue!!!!!!
-There is still a big question as to what happened and why. As I stated before, if we are to assume Annies death is the cause of Ben's turn to the others and natives and deception of the DHARMA initiative than we have to assume she died before 1988. Since in 1992 The purge happened. That was 12 years ago.
-Danielle and her team landed on the island 16 years ago in 1988, so for her baby to be stolen by the others and adopted by Ben this would be the only answer. unless her child was stolen than later given to Ben which would allow Annie to live a little closer towards the purge.
-Danielle was once thought to have been a part of DHARMA, and that is very confusing, since the purge happened in 1992. Which means when she crashed DHARMA was still active, so if she was DHARMA then she should have been found, and if she wasn't then why wasn't she found anyway. If she landed 16 years ago in 1988 than why would DHARMA allow for the next 4 years her message to run on the radio broadcast instead of their Vanzetti equation. This is a big problem which also needs answering. I also suspects she knows more about the island than she let on.
Libby
-People were disappointed with the return of Libby this year. They felt as if no new light was shed on her character.
-Personally, I believe the answer to her past has already been shown and can be taken at face value. I do not think that she had a bigger role in things although it is possible.
-We saw her with Desmond and Hurley and both match each others story. They finish her story. She is seen at Santa Rosa Mental Institution. So she was thought to have been watching Hurley, when the obvious answer is that she was actually their for herself.
-When she meets Desmond, it is in the past, about 3 years before the crash. She gives him the boat of her dead husband. Named Dave. She also used a fake name. This could be when she started to lose her mind. her sadness and loneliness could have been due to the loss of her husband Dave.
-The connection to Hurley is that he sees a man named Dave. My guess is the Dave he saw due to his guilt over the incident where 23 people fell through a deck, was none other than Libby's husband.
-In the mental institution Libby has brunette hair the same she has with Desmond. Showing they took place during a similar time, she must have snapped and ended up in the same place. Nothing more than that. I don't think there is any reason to add more to her story than that because it is an open and closed book which we were already given.
-The scene with Desmond wasn't made to make you think she was involved in bringing people their, it was to tell you how she got in the mental institution, since she already died in a episode before the finale, and close her story.
The Mythology, the Island, bad ideas and theories.
Annie or her possible child Alive
-Although brought up in character breakdowns. This will be a full detailed explanation of this one theory.
-Bens Storyline is one of emotional abuse from his father caused by his mothers death during his premature birth. It is possible that woman used to be able to give birth but after Bens arrival or with Bens first child that stopped. Although it would make sense if no one could conceive on the island.
-If Annie were to leave the island or DHARMA she would have to be around his age. Only leaving Danielle and Penelope as options. It is not Penelope, because she would have remembered the island, also it would make for a weak story. Not to mention Ben would never want to kill her. It would be awfully bad writing trying to convince us Penny is Annie.
-Danielle is crazy, and French. Danielle's story is so weird that it is possible, but the dates and times don't seem to add up. not only that but She would have to forget everything about DHARMA, Ben and think of a while imaginary new life, learn French and pick up the accent.
-Charlotte is not their love child. If she were, than they would have had to conceive either on island, of brought Annie off island. Either way Ben would have kept tabs on them.
-With Bens Mother dying from premature birth, nothing would be more sickeningly poetic than him feeling like the cause of the only person to ever love him dying. losing not only his wife and lover, but his unborn child.
-This is also the best reason as to why he would steal Alex as his own. Nothing else adds to this flaw in his character better than these events taking place in his past.
John Locke will be brought back to life
-The writers and Producers have made it clear that once someone dies, they die. This does not mean they can not be on the show in a big way, it just means their life is over.
-Unless the writers want to go full on re-incarnation then they won't bring him back to life. It would not only be a bad storyline for the show, but it would make the idea of death cheap, and would make his death or the season four finale worthless points.
-He will most likely be around alive all next season in flashbacks, and as a spiritual guide in the likes of Jacob and Christian Shephard.
The Island is Atlantis.. Figuratively speaking
-It would be the easiest and simplest possible explanation which is also logical and could be accepted by the mass public since it is a well known myth across the board
-It also ties in with the shows name hinting that they have had this plan since the beginning of the show. F
-The island has original inhabitants and natives, it has healing powers and the natives seem to have longevity never before seen in any man. The people of Atlantis were thought to be a race not only superior to normal man but also of far greater intelligence and technological marvels.
-We have now seen hieroglyphics on the stone door in Bens secret room which summoned the smoke monster to attack, although he did not specifically control it therefor alluding to it being a supernatural being.
-We also have the ancient 4 toed statue from season 2.
-Hieroglyphics on The Hatch Counter
-Ancient writing in a hidden room with an ancient yet advanced scientific technology, just as Atlantis was thought to have.
-It is possible that not all of the island was above water at one time, explaining how the black rock got to middle of the jungle, other than the electro magnetics on the Island drawing it in. If 200 years ago the shoreline was further in it would explain this, just as Atlantis supposedly sunk.
-After seeing the season Four finale, the possibility is further explained since the island just disappeared, as it may have thousands of years ago. Which would cause people to think it sunk below the ocean.
-The island as I said could be Atlantis in a figurative sense because it would be a perfect blanket answer for the average viewer. It can also be explained with a simple line which also allows it to be ambiguous so not to insult the more intelligent people who have studied the myths of Atlantis. If Ben were to say "This island has been around for thousands of years, many of you know it as Atlantis, some Lemuria, there have been many names for this place throughout time, some LOST and forgotten." Therefore saying there is no real Atlantis but this is a part of where the myths came from. Since It fits right into that category, but has also moved in time and space throughout history.

LOST Finale Predictions!
Okay so here we are. The finale! I am posting these spoiler free, total speculative predictions based on the information the show has provided for 4 seasons. My two predictions are as follows.
Who is in the coffin.
Jon Locke 99% Sure
Desmond Hume 1% slight possibility
Locke will be meeting his demise because...
-In season 2 Locke and helen discuss obituaries. She tells him it's the only time people will always say something nice about you. (jack carries an obit during Through the looking glass.)
-ben Warns Locke in cabin fever that there are consequences to being chosen
-Jack is torn by the death of the person in the coffin, and also feels regret towards leaving the island. Locke wanted them to stay and jack wouldn't listen. He has been working as jacks spiritual guide and rival since the episode white rabbit where the theme of science and faith come into play.
-Locke has work to do, as said by taller ghost walt. Like micheal he can not die until he fulfills his destiny. Which may happen with saving the island.
-Locke with the exception of ben would cause the most animosity between himself and the Oceanic six.
-He with the exception of desmond, is the only main player whose future we don't yet know.
Demond may be dead because
-The writers introduced a plot device in the form of a charles dickens book which will be the last thing he reads before he dies. Desmond has yet to read this, and as said to him the only way that can work is if he knows when that is going to happen. Allowing the viewers to know that date would work in the same vein and set up season four.
-The animosity he may have could be that he did not help ferry the survivors to the boat, although it is more likely that he is now working for widmore. Which would be a big problem for the oceanic six. He may be working to hide and keep penelope alive which would result in him turning on Sayid whom he has been working with as of late in a sort of futuristic parallel of how things have changed.
-The resulting conflict of Bens war with widmore may take desmonds life while trying to protect Penny.
Who will die during the escape
Micheal Dawson 90% Sure
Jin Kwon 9% Chance
Juliette Burke 1% possibility
Micheal is going to die because...
It has been alluded to since episode 8 when he said he came here to die.
It is the only way to redeem himself.
He will never be forgiven by the survivors
Jin might die..
-To add emotional impact on micheals death. Like anna lucia, her death was not a big problem for viewers, since she killed shannon, so libby was also axed to make the impact more emotional.
-Michelas similar crime may call for a similar consequence of jins death by exploding freighter as well as some red shirts.
-It is more likely Jin will not die but it will be ambiguous as to whether he survivors or not until next season.
Juliette could be killed since..
-Her story is more done than others
-Without ben or his outside world others in play her on island missions are done
-Unlike other people, she could return home without a care and go back to being happy
-I just have a funny feeling this might happen
Oh and as for the finale twist. I have no idea what so ever.

Tv tv tv tv tv tv tv tv tv
I have spent the week not writing or doing.. anything. I started re watching LOST with my friends from season one and finished it in only 5 days. SO I'm going to have to try and go outside this weekend because I'm actually tired from just sitting around. I'll write up an LOST episode re-cap tomorrow, and my speculation for the finale. Also I'm going to write about House which had an amazing part 1 finale. Very awesome stuff, can not wait for part 2.

Hasbro not taking the Risk
First let me say I love Risk. I actually played it last night. Which is why I was excited to find out there is going to be a new Risk game coming out this fall. Not only in board game style, but also for video game consoles via download through options like Wii Ware and Xbox Live Arcade. I for one will probably be getting both so I can play at home and online.
This brings us to the title, thanks to the folks over at Joystiq.com for the pictures below.

This is by far one of the coolest most stylish games I have ever seen. The look alone is enough to make me want to play it. Not only that but the new rules are set to make the game more strategic but at the same time, allow a group of friends to sti down and finish the game in a decent amount of time. I would love to play a two hour game of Risk, since the game can sometimes go on forever.
Unfortunately, we won't be getting that amazing beautiful board game. "And sadly, it won't be the Risk future generations remember, either. When Hasbro unveils the new version of Risk this fall, the commercial release will eschew the subdued aesthetic of Black Ops for the standard bright colors and decided optimism of the classic conquest title."-Joystiq.com
Sure it will be the new board and game play, but the styled look got me so excited to play it. This less stylish more colorful and family friendly look just makes me disappointed that hasbro has decided to do this. Either way though the game should be great, and I can't wait until fall comes around to play it.

A Little Dexter love
In the show dexter, he uses his own fake blood and tools of murder to try and replicate the blood spatter at crime scenes. This game me an awesome idea. Why not do the same thing to a big piece of canvas. So I played with the first two, used different knifes and other sorts of destruction to see the different effects you can get. So I ended up using a carving knife, a a butchers knife/cleaver, and your standard steak/sharp knife. The cleaver was the most fun, it let me get the big pool of blood in the middle because of it's fat surface area. I let the paint sit on the top of it and hit it into the canvas and let it drip down off it, you can see that in the middle. So on the final piece I did my best, mixed different reds and attacked the board with slashes and stabs. Sorry if the quality is not so good, bad lighting in my tv room, so I can't seem to get a bright enough picture.
LOST Episode Breakdown 4.11 'Cabin Fever'
This weeks episode of LOST was right up their with some of the best. Leading right into next weeks episode and part 1 of the season finale. The only downside to this episode was the inclusion of Keamy, which has to be the most hated character by me since Biff from the back to the future series. I can't wait to see some island karma come his way. For those of you who have seen the episode, or are looking for a written breakdown, push the button. Anyone who has yet to see this weeks episode go to ABC.com and watch before reading this to avoid any spoilers.
Execute
Alright! Wow what an episode. Following LOST, lets start from the beginning. No really all the way at the beginning, back some 40 years ago about 3 months before John Locke was even due. That's right, this week we are greeted by a flashback, how retro for LOST. Apparently their was more mystery concerning the crippled box man during his lifetime. In fact this is information John is not yet privy to, making it all the more juicy.
"Everyday it's getting closer, going faster than a roller coaster." Truer words couldn't have been chosen. The LOST writers seem to have a knack for picking groovy songs from the past to suit the episodes needs. This line represents the looming finale which is coming next week, as well as the pace of the show. Not only is this season coming to an end, but the answers we want and the closure that many of us so patiently wait for are is on its way and developing right before our eyes. Not only do we get to see the young rebellious Emily Locke get blindsided by a car before meeting the famous Tom Sawyer aka Anthony Cooper we find out John just like a certain favorite other of ours was also born prematurely. Seems like Ben and Locke have more in common each day.
Not only was Emily blindsided, but so were the viewers. It seems that Ben after showing his first true human emotions, has accepted his new role and Johns. While Hurley, Ben and Locke are walking around aimlessly, thinking each one was following the other. Not that this would be the first time we have seen survivors lost in the jungle, but all of a sudden the secretive man behind the curtain, the one malevolent and creepy Henry Gale, is as confused and lost as the rest of them.
Stepping out of the jungle and back to our friends on the freighter I although not surprised am happy to see Micheal very much alive and well. At this point I am beginning to really like the captain Gualt since he seems to want to help the survivors of 815. Unfortunately for him, Keamy came around and tried with no avail to put a bullet in his head. Although Micheal cringed in fear, I have a feeling there was a part of him that wished keamy could finish the job that the universe wouldn't allow him to. Though just like the pawn shop pistol Micheal bought with Mr Paiks watch the gun simply did not fire.
Back on the island we see locke waking up to the sound of chopping wood. He is visited by the ghost of horace goodspeed. The man responsible for ben even being on the island in the first place. The only thing is, we saw Horace die in the purge 12 year ago, which means we now have a date of 1992 for the purge. In a ghostly scene reminiscent of psychological suspense thriller 1408 the ghost brought locke a message in a repetitive display of chopping down the same tree over and over. The only disappointing part about this was when locke woke up and it was just a dream, although it did not cheapen the event. Especially when ben gave locke an almost nostalgic look and said "I used to have dreams too" in a tone which made him appear disappointed and longing for the days of his power.
If that scene with John Locke wasn't enough to quench your thirst for mythology, then you are in luck. In the next scene we find the young emily locke visiting baby john in the hospital. We find out that although he was 3 months premature, he also managed to survive diseases and viruses that could ravage a healthy adult. Almost in an eerie way similar to micheals ability to be unable to die the nurse's have claimed locke to be a miracle baby, also referencing an older senile emily locke when she tells john he was immaculately conceived. Which is all a bunch of great analysis, because not only do we see emily decline to hold baby john and run out of the room, she decides she can not raise him and her mother inquires about adoption. Which would have been enough for me, but the LOST team seemed set on really delivering by placing none other than the ageless Richard Alpert outside of the room looking in through the glass window. YES! He is back, and we will get to what is going on next, but I have to say I am ecstatic about Nestor's return to LOST.
So we once again return to the 3 amigos trekking through the woods towards or away from jacobs elusive cabin. The fact is none of them know, so locke brings them on a detour where hurley gets to meet the once great DHARMA initiative. We also get to see be's reaction as he is looked at as a murderer by locke and he explains to hurley that it was not his decision. Not only that but he also tells hurely that jacob, gave him the orders and was the true leader of the others.
What's better than seeing baby locke.. KID LOCKE! Actually not really, since he lived in a foster home with what didn't appear to be the world's best mom. Not only that but he was quite the quiet child who even at a young age loved his games and was picked on by others around him, mirroring his future self before the island. So how can this scene even be relevant? Well just ask Richard Alpert, who came to visit young locke. Although the foster mother does not know his true intentions, she gives locke a stern warning to be on his best behavior, like a puppy at a pet store, young locke sits wide eyed and hopes to be chosen. Before they sit down with one another, richard makes a startling discovery, well not to him, but to us viewers it was quite the creepy image.
After viewing young lockes crayon drawing of the smoke monster looking visiting him or even attacking someone they sit down to talk. Richard pulls out a collection of items and asks young john which items belong to him. "To keep!" young locke explains with a surprised and cheerful glee. "No" Richard says, which of these are already yours. So lets just take a look.
We have the compass, A vial with what I assume to be island sand, the comic book, The book of laws a baseball mit and a knife. First he takes the sand, then he picks up the compass and seems to examine it, until finally he pulls the knife. In a very disappointed and almost angered way Richard takes his things exclaims that this was a mistake and leaves. Although this does not mean as Ben put it in season 3 "He is not who we thought he was", it just simply means young locke is not ready yet. Although I suspect richard can wait a few years, it should be that long for a man who does not age.
Going back to our frieghter folk we see keamy and gualt in the captains room, each have a key which keamy took from gualt to open the secondary mission. Apparently Charles Widmore knows more about this island than anyone out side of it. Keamy says Widmore told him this is were Ben would go and what to do. the front cover of the book has the Orchid station logo on it, so for anyone who expects the temple or jacobs cabin, sorry but the answer was right their on the show. So now we know they expect ben to head to the Orchid Station and are going their themselves, as well as have a plan to torch the entire island.
Right after this we see captian gualt trying to help Sayid and Desmond, I knew gualt was good! Sayid suggests that the only way to save their selves and friends is to get them off the island, so he gets the captain to give them the zodiac raft. Hmm are we going to be seeing a nautical escape from the island? Could be! Well just see next week although, I hope the writers didn't forget about desmonds vision of claire and the helicopter. Though, until she dies there won't be any reason to discredit desmonds vision either.
So back in the jungle the fearless leader John Locke finds this dream guest stars body in the DHARMA crypt and pulls out a map. A map leading to none other than jacobs cabin! Not only do they set off on the road to the mysterious cabin, but John manipulated hurley into following them by thinking he had the freedom to leave but was less safe doing so. Ben recognizes this and congratulates him saying "Not bad John" although locke states he's not ben and not like him, Ben gives him a sinister and even jealous look saying, "No you are not".
Back to the past, we see the nerdy John Locke once again trying to fit into a society which rejects him. He has an apparent gift for science as founded by his science fair project and his mind, which seems contradictory to the man of faith we know him for. Alpert tried to once again recruit John to the island using summer camp as a cover for the others to get a hold of him. We also see John is not yet ready to accept that he is different and he holds onto these ideas of normalcy and sports everything he is not. Until he finally breaks and says his classic line "Don't tell me what I can't do!", in classic style.
Meanwhile on the freighter, good old frank lapidus pays our friend Micheal a visit. Asking him why he didn't tell him he was a survivor, obviously Micheal did not trust him, although Frank for being a so called conspiracy theorist has a hard time believing their boss put that plane on the bottom of the ocean. Micheal explains that frank can not bring them back to the boat because if he does then Keamy will kill everyone on the island! Talk about a great lead in for the finale. If we thought the others rag tag team of guys battling our oceanic survivors was epic, Keamy and his small army are going to be the battle of a lifetime.
Taking Micheal down to the engine room, we spot keamy being packed up for the mission ahead with a small electronic device on his arm. A tracker? An electromagnetic defense mechanism, or sonic grenade weapon to help fight off the smoke monster? Those are my guesses.
One more flashback for our friend Mr Locke. It's John later in life, during rehabilitation. He is being wheeled by none other than our mysteriously creepy friend Abbadon. I suspect abbadon is playing the devils advocate to Alpert since he not only suggest to locke that he take a walk about, setting up his reason for going to Sydney, but tells him all he needs is his Knife and his Wits. Pulling him in the other direction than Richard wanted, as we clearly saw his disappointment in young lockes choosing of the knife. Reaffirming my idea that Widmore's team has a polar opposite goal of Jacob and Bens.
Afterwards, taking head of his warning, Frank stands up to Keamy and says he won't take them to the island. Only moments before we saw omar mention how it was weird that the people on the island said he washed ashore with his throat slit. Keamy makes a very strong argument by telling frank he will die, frank explains to keamy that if he dies, there is no way he is getting back to the island. So Keamy slits the throat of Doc Ray. Then when captain Gualt steps in, keamy shows him the device on his arm and has gualt killed. So frank readies the chopper to spare the rest of the crew and himself. Although that is not all he does, as the Helicopter passes the island he drops a phone so they can track them and either follow or stay clear of Keamy. Personally, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near them. Although I loved seeing Juliet's concern for jack, since those two belong together, and make a much better couple than kate and jack.
So the final scene arrives. Hurely finds the cabin, Ben passes the torch to John by stating his time is over, and he and hurley elect to stay outside. Inside Locke finds one of my all time favorites, Christian Sheppard! Who is not only keeping up his exercise with visits around the island and off the island, but is now even chatting it up with locke. After exchanging pleasantries and explaining he speaks on behalf of jacob, christian asks John if he knows why he is their. He answers by saying that he was chosen to be. More creepy than the remark by christian that he was absolutely right, was the creaking from claires chair. She not only greets john but tells him not to worry. This puzzles him severely. Christian tells him there is no time for answering his questions right now because Keamy is on his way to the island and none of that will soon matter.
In a very light hearted scene, meant to both break the current tension and give our minds a rest we see one of the funniest calm moments shared by Ben and Hurley. The two of them have great chemistry together due to their total opposite characteristics. Hurleys lax mood and calm unwrapping of the candy bar is unsettling by the lonesome grimace on Ben who accepts half from him. New best friends forever! With charlie gone could we see Ben step in! not likely, but I just couldn't help but laugh during this scene.
Finally, after killing time with that scene so we don't get the specifics on what went down in the cabin locke emerges. Instead of the normal vague statement leaving us to wonder what he was told, the episode ends with locke saying. "He wants me to move the island" Cut to black. Put that up for two on my theories which were affirmed tonight. See you all next week!

Scrubs last episode on NBC the beggining of the end.
After many official unofficial confirmations it has been found that my current favorite sitcom will be brought to ABC next season to finish out their series. With approximately 17 more episodes for their 8th and finale season. This is absolutely great news, although old news.
As for last night's episode I was both pleased and upset. It was obvious that this episode was meant to air before Kelso left sacred heart as the chief of medicine, so I expect it to be put in the right spot during the DVD. Not only that, but it was annoying how they just now brought up the kiss both Elliot and JD almost shared, considering that too shows how early on in the season this should have been placed.
As for the episode it's self. I loved it, very funny, a little over the top silly for even scrubs at times but still an absolute great episode overall. It sits aside from the routine formula alongside last seasons 'My Musical' which is one of my absolute favorite episodes yet.
So I am happy we went out with a very well done over the top fantasy episode (I mean who doesn't love the giant janitor?) but am sad to see the season end so soon. Here's to one more season which gives the show just enough time to ease JD and Elliot back together without making it absurdly forced.

I'm still just testing the water right now. Learning what you can do with this. I added a banner on the side to support Barack for the election. I might add some others for any petitions or for interests of mine. I'll be doing a write up or two next, stay tuned.
